BENEFITING: THE FOUNDATION SCHOOLS
ORGANIZER: THE FOUNDATION SCHOOLS
EVENT: Maryland Gives More 2015
EVENT DATE: Dec 01, 2015
Please donate to my team to support the students of The Foundation Schools! In addition to facing emotional disabilities, more than 80 percent of these students live in poverty throughout the greater Washington area. By helping to provide them with basic needs such as food and clothing through the Foundation Links program, it allows them to better concentrate in school and brings them so much closer to a lifetime of success.
Any amount helps!

What is the Foundation Links program:
This program is designed to help students avoid future incidents of nonattendance, prevent truancy and dropout through home-based and after school outreach interventions.
Foundation Links works connects students and their families to quality community-based resources. For those who do not have the means to seek private therapeutic care, The Foundation Links program introduces accessible resources including consultation with The Foundation Schools’ psychiatrists. Other resources include providing crisis intervention services such as food and clothing, transportation and in-home therapeutic services.
About The Foundation Schools:
Autism, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder- a few examples of challenges faced by the students of The Foundation Schools. For 40 years, we have supporteed thousands of students in grades 1-12 of the greater Washington area to address their social/emotional disabilities. Today, our legacy stands because of YOUR support and compassion towards the well-being of our students. In addition to their social/emotional disabilites, each and everyone of our students have faced a varying degree of trauma- an indescriminatory obstacle such as homelessness and abuse. To ensure our students receive the critical therapeutic care they deserve, we ask for your help.
