My Race Goals

“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” – Stuart Scott
I am honored to be part of the Project Purple Team for the third year at the LIncoln Marathon. This race is a special race for me as I have ran it the past two years. Each year I have ran as part of Project Purple. It has been amazing running with this team and seeing all those that have worked hard to defeat pancreatic cancer. Even more, the feeling is more amazing knowing that you are a part of something bigger than you.
This year I am once again running for Team Leahy. Team Leahy was created following the passing of my uncle, Ken Leahy and my cousin’s wife, Kristi Leahy. In addition to running in remberance of them, I am running for all those that battle pancreatic cancer and cancer in general.
I hope that you will join me by contributing what you can to this worthy cause. This year's goal is to raise $2,620 or $10 per mile in the race. Please join me and Team Leahy to work together to help assist those impacted directly as well as find a cure.
