THE STORY:

Moonbat Pearson-Martinez wrote -

This is a call to action for anyone and everyone who wants to BE THE CHANGE you want to see in the world: In a world raging with war, poverty, disease and famine it's difficult to know where to begin in creating a difference. One woman has presented THE answer ...you begin at the beginning, BIRTH. The Bumi Sehat Foundation, one of the many "babies" Robin Lim has birthed and nurtured, was founded in 1995. Translated it literally means "The Foundation for a Healthy Mother Earth" Their mission is clear and concise: "We believe that access to quality healthcare and to kind, hygienic, culturally appropriate childbirth is a human right. We believe that each individual is an essential societal component of peace. By caring for the smallest citizens of Earth - babies at birth - we are building peace: one mother, one child, one family at a time" Bumi Sehat started as one midwife on a mission to save the world one baby at a time and has evolved to 3 clinics serving over 50,000 people a year at NO COST to the citizens of Bali and Ache. Also Robin and her team have served as first responders to disaster zones such as the tsunami ravaged Ache, earthquake stricken Haiti, and was actually the first team on the ground in the Philippines after a devastating typhoon. Robin Lim was named CNN Hero of the year 2011 and took her work to the next level, building a new clinic that would finally house all the services they provide at no cost to any Indonesian citizen who asks for it. From prenatal care to emergency triage, the residents of Bali know that healthcare is available to them 24 hours a day. With the average family income of $300 a month, most of the islanders cannot afford the average cost of prenatal care and birth of $2000. Through hard and tireless work and donations like yours, Robin makes it possible to have evidence based safe care free to every family. The number one killer of women in Bali is Childbirth. A normal life event too often turns to tragedy in poor underserved nations. YOU can make the life or death difference to a growing family. Every $3.50 means a mother and baby are provided safe care. That means: a $100 donation insures 28 families will receive care a $1000 donation means 285 mothers and babies will get to experience kind, hygienic, culturally appropriate childbirth a $5000 donation will afford 1470 human beings the right to good health care. and $50,000 means 14,280 will be provided the health and medical care they need and deserve. All donations are Tax Deductible and 97 cents of each dollar goes directly to patient care. Services include: Prenatal care, safe hygenic birth, emergancy care for all, pediatric care, family medicine, free prescription medications, chiropractic care and so much more. Make your donation today before Dec. 31st to have a credit for 2016! Print your receipt for your records and have your accountant claim it on your taxes.
