BENEFITING: Prostate Cancer Foundation
Aaron bet that I can't raise $500 for prostate cancer research in one week (by this Saturday Nov. 1). Help me prove him wrong!
I have a big goal this week: raise $500 to donate to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, one of the world’s leading philanthropic organizations dedicated to finding a cure for prostate cancer.
Thankfully, none of my loved ones have suffered from prostate cancer, but I’ve known many whose lives have been affected or cut short by other forms of cancer. It’s a terrible disease, which claims hundreds of thousands of lives annually in the U.S. alone, and I'd like to join the fight against it. You can too. Please donate a little or a lot. Every dollar counts.
Why prostate cancer? I love the men in my life. :) Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men (after skin cancer), and one out of seven men will be diagnosed in his lifetime.
Why donate? Your $ will support key clinical trials to explore new drugs and treatment strategies for prostate cancer as well as research on the biology and causes behind it.
To add a little fun to the challenge: If I raise $500 by the end of the week, Aaron has promised to NOT grow a creepy mustache, which he generally wears throughout the month of November (AKA Movember). Also, I just want to kick his butt and show everyone that I can raise more money for cancer research than he can.
Join me for the fun, but most importantly, join me for the cause - let’s beat cancer together!
