EVENT DATE: Nov 07, 2015
Bill Butler was an avid runner. It is how we forged our friendship and how we spent so many afternoons during our college experience. Bill also met his beloved Lydia through running.
In October of 1991, we ran the Mountain Masochist 50 miler. This was our 2nd Class (junior) year at VMI. The race was the penultimate challenge for two young runners. The brutal 50 mile course that snakes through the Blue Ridge mountains from Lynchburg to Montebello as it climbs and drops across 16k feet of elevation.
Bill unexpectedly passed away on May 13, 2014. He has left behind his son, Axel, and wife Lydia. I am going to run this race again in honor of Bill. Help me me ensure that Axel has every opportunity in the future. Every dollar you give will go into Axel's 529 Plan.
- a dollar per mile
- $50 to finish
- Bet me that I won't finish...
Thanks for supporting Axel and helping me reach my goal.
The race day is Nov. 7, 2015.
