As graduate students at the USC School of Social Work, we are working on a fundraising project for the Paws for Life program (Karma Rescue). Fellow students, friends, family, and random do-gooders: please donate. Even if you can't spare the big bucks, every little bit counts!
"Paws For Life brings rescued shelter dogs to live full-time with inmates at the California State Prison, Los Angeles County. Over a twelve-week cycle, inmates learn from Karma trainers how to train our rescue dogs for ‘Canine Good Citizen’ certification. While similar programs have been instituted across the nation, Paws For Life is California’s first and only program in a high-security prison involving inmates serving life-term sentences."
