What is the "54 in 24" Golf Challenge?
A fund raiser benefiting AchieveKids where Terry and Will Conner will attempt to play 54 holes of golf, at three different courses -- driving from the Sierras of Lake Tahoe, to Silicon Valley, to the Sand Dunes of Pebble Beach in less than 24 hours on June 20, the longest day of the year.
How you can help:
Your donation to the "54 in 24" Golf Challenge would be awesome! Choose to sponsor a hole for $100 (and receive a photo of the Conner Boys on your sponsored hole), or give any amount of your choosing.
All donations are tax deductible and, of course, all are very much appreciated.
More about AchieveKids:
Located in Palo Alto and San Jose, AchieveKids provides a stimulating and nurturing learning environment for special education students ages 5 to 22 who have autistic spectrum disorders and complex emotional and/or developmental disabilities. Terry has been an AchieveKids volunteer and board member for more than 20 years.
How will the "54 in 24" funds be used?
One of the primary goals of AchieveKids is to help their students learn real world skills to successfully transition to independent, productive adult lives. But as the world continues to change at a rapid pace, many of the graduating students are finding the transition to adulthood more overwhelming than ever before. With your help, all funds raised in the "54 in 24" Golf Challenge will go to the newly established “Michael Gennette Transition to Adulthood Fund”, which will support a comprehensive, early intervention transition program that will begin when the students turn 14 years of age. The fund honors the outstanding leadership of AchieveKids' Executive Director, Michael Gennette, who will be retiring this summer after 15 years of service.
Would be happy to answer your questions! Just send Terry an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!!!
