Cancer sucks. Losing someone to cancer sucks more. Will you Stand Up?
At about 5am on Christmas Day in 2007 I listened as my Dad took his last breath. Christmas will never be the same... When my Dad was diagnosed I became somewhat of a "cancer guy". I was there for treatments, doctor's appointments and face-offs with insurance companies. The disease becomes all encompassing. Nary a minute goes by that you don't think about the possible outcomes. A cancer patient realizes that all they thought they wanted pales in comparison to 59 more seconds, hours, days or months.
I became a crusader. I raised money. I organized groups. I talked to Doctors. I had the tough conversations that my Mom couldn't or wouldn't...
Christmas Day in 2012 will be 5 years (60 months) since my dad passed. What have I done since then... NOTHING!!
November 18, 2012 is IMAZ and I can raise money with that date as a goal. The 59 signifies the months since his passing. 59 will be my NUMBER! Just like a cancer patient or loved one wants the seconds and minutes I want the dollars and cents.
Please support an important cause and donate $59, $590, $5900 or any amount you choose by clicking the BIG DONATE button to the right. And tell 59 of your friends and family to donate, too!
Thanks for your incredible support.
