BENEFITING: FANCONI ANEMIA RESEARCH FUND INC
EVENT DATE: May 07, 2016
From Mary Ann Fiaschetti....This year for International Fanconi Anemia Day, I am participating in the second annual 5K for FA on May 7, 2016. It's a 5K trail run/walk held in Parma Town Park, 1300 Hilton Parma Corners Road, Hilton, NY. Organized by the Lana FAmily, 5K for FA is in honor of their eleven-year-old son, Eli, born with Fanconi anemia, just like our son, Peter.
So far my childhood friend (Linda) and my brother and his family (Mike, Cindy, Zoe and Sophia) are joining me at the 5K. Please join us. You can sign up at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Hilton/5KforFA
Can't make it? Maybe you have a boy scout camping commitment or wedding to attend that day? Well, consider supporting this great event by making a tax deductible donation here to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. Whether you are there or not, join my fundraising team (click on the link to the right) and share this link with your friends and family.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart. I won't stop until a cure is discovered.
Love, Mary Ann (Fiaschetti not Lana)
PS Fanconi anemia is an inherited disease that can lead to bone marrow failure and cancer. Though considered primarily a blood disease, FA may affect all systems of the body. It is a complex and chronic disorder that is psychologically demanding. FA is also a cancer-prone disease, affecting patients decades earlier than the general population. 98.5% of the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund's budget is funded by FAmily fundraising such as this 5K for FA. Join us and be part of the 98.5%!!!
