The Story

EVENT DATE: Sep 10, 2016

Thank you for visiting our fundraising campaign. LiveLikeLou.org, a donor advised fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation, was founded in 2011 by Neil & Suzanne Alexander after Neil's diagnosis with Lou Gehrig's Disease. Since then, LiveLikeLou.org has sought to raise awareness of ALS, to work towards finding a cure, and to provide care and comfort to ALS patients in Western Pennsylvania. In February 2015, LiveLikeLou.org announced the creation of the LiveLikeLou Center for ALS Research at the University of Pittsburgh Brain Institute. Our dear friend Neil Alexander lost his battle with ALS on March 24th. 2015. Although we are shaken by this loss, we continue onward along with Neil & Suzanne's family to help the next father, mother, brother, or sister faced with this diagnosis. We ride and we fundraise in memory of our friend Neil, and to honor his legacy to "leave ALS better than we found it." Thank you for your support!
