BENEFITING: LIBERATION IN NORTH KOREA
61 Strong is a group of children and young adults dedicated to ending human trafficking and fighting social injustice through awareness and fundraisers. Last year, it came to our attention that every day, North Koreans attempt to flee from the horrors of their home country. Desperate for freedom, they try every means of escaping and, more often than not, fail.
Liberation in North Korea (LiNK) is coming to their aid, but each rescue conducted costs $2,500 to cover necessary costs such as food, shelter, transit, guides, paperwork and other incurred expenses throughout the journey. All field operations are run solely by LiNK staff and partners and as a purely humanitarian endeavor; they do not accept any form of payment from refugees in exchange for protection or transit.
We at 61 Strong want to save one refugee in 2012 – won’t you help us save a life?
