The Story

EVENT DATE: Apr 27, 2019

DEADLINE TO GIVE: May 05, 2019

2019 will be our 6th annual 5k run/walk to find a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension. Last year we had nearly 600 participants and were able to donate over $37,000 to the PHenomenal Impact Fund to give Pulmonary Hypertension research grants. To date, we have raised over $143,000 towards finding a cure for this deadly disease. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is a very rare, under-diagnosed and often misdiagnosed disease. This disease causes high blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries, making it harder for the blood to flow through the lungs to pick up oxygen, causing potentially life-threatening consequences such as right heart failure and even death. When diagnosed in time, treatments can be administered that improve quality of life and may prolong it. At this time PH is still considered a terminal illness; but, we believe that through research we will find the cure for PH.
