Most of you know this story. Six years ago, Lauren Hissrich and I decided to buy some toys for the kids at Providence Saint Joseph Hospital in Burbank to give back to a place that has given Lauren and her family so much. Then we decided to email a few friends and post it on Facebook to see if anyone else wanted to pitch in. Two days and $2000 later, we brought 3 carloads of toys to the hospital and our Toys and More Drive was off and running! Since then, we've raised almost $65,000 that has been directly spent on toys, coats, hats, gloves, clothes, diapers, toiletries, and other basic necessities for families not only at St. Joe's but also at some great local organizations.
Once again, we are partnering with the Providence Health and Services Foundation so your donations are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE! On top of that, we personally guarantee every penny you donate gets spent directly on all these items we buy. How do we guarantee that? Well, in two weeks we will go to Target and shop until we drop. Last year we had over 25 carts of toys and goods and a receipt that was 45' long! It is easily the best part of our year.
I'm so humbled by the generosity of so many friends, families, and complete strangers since we started the Toys and More Drive! Please consider donating again this year to help us continue this wonderful tradition. And if you'd like to volunteer on our shopping day, please let me know. The holidays are such a busy time for everyone and so many people do so much good so if you've already reached your donation budget, perhaps you'll consider sharing this link with some of your friends and family.
Thank you so much!
