BENEFITING: 826 NATIONAL
We're launching our third annual #GivingTuesday crowdfunding campaign with a goal to raise $100,000 by midnight on #GivingTuesday, November 29th.
Last year, because of supporters like you, we exceeded our Giving Tuesday goal. Let’s keep the tradition going this year.
Every dollar you give goes toward supporting and growing our network of seven chapters nationwide. What that means is you are part of something BIG.
By giving to 826 National, you are helping provide spaces where a student in East Harlem can learn with the one-on-one attention they need. You are telling a student in Chicago that their voice matters to someone far beyond the neighborhood block. You are letting thousands of students know that it is 100% A-OK to be wholly themselves: intelligent, silly, okra-obsessed, crazy-in-love, advocates for social justice, and more.
Every school year, our seven chapters publish hundreds of limericks, ‘zines, screenplays, personal statements, graphic novels, essays, short stories, 8-ku-6s (our special take on the haiku) and more, all penned by our students. These works are more than just ink on paper, but the manifestation of the hours of hard work and reflection, and countless connections made between volunteers, educators, students, and donors from coast to coast.
So, this year, give because you can make seven times the impact. Share the word because you believe in the creativity and potential of a nation of young writers. For thousands of students, writing their paths forward every day, you are making BIG happen. Thank you.
