BENEFITING: 826 NATIONAL
EVENT DATE: Aug 26, 2016
The 826 National network was founded more than ten years ago on the belief that great leaps in learning can happen with individualized attention, and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.
Make a gift today to help us reach our goal of raising $8,260 by August 26 (8/26 Day!) to support hundreds of student publications from coast to coast. It’s thanks to supporters like you that we can provide our chapters with essential administrative and infrastructure support so they can dedicate their time, energy, and resources to where it’s most important: our students.
Every school year, our chapters publish hundreds of limericks, ‘zines, screenplays, personal statements, graphic novels, essays, short stories, 8-ku-6s (our special take on the haiku) and more, all penned by our students. Another year of wildly creative and deeply moving writing is about to start, and we here at 826 National need your support to help our seven chapters thrive.
With the support of caring community volunteers, 826 students are learning to write their own paths forward; exploring creativity and learning to express themselves, while building essential writing skills. Celebrate #826on826 by showing your support today!
