BENEFITING: JOSH ANDERSON FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Mar 11, 2017
On March 18, 2009, Josh Anderson made the tragic decision to end his life. He was only seventeen. The Josh Anderson Foundation (JAF) was created to help address the serious need for mental health awareness programs to prevent losing any more teens to suicide. We are Running to Remember Josh because we believe that every teenager should feel they have the voice, support and resources to seek help for their mental health so that suicide is NEVER an option. It is our commitment to empower teens to feel they can reach out without fear of judgment or shame. JAF's latest initiative, Our Minds Matter, is a student-led movement to change the school culture around mental health. To learn more, go to www.ourmindsmatter.org. Please support our Run and help us to grow the Our Minds Matter movement, which is taking root currently in the DC and Boston areas, and is destined to grow beyond - with your support! Thank you!
