Andrew Curry Green Lake Swim & Fun Run XIII
EVENT DATE: Jul 29, 2017
The Andrew Curry Green Lake Swim is an annual fundraiser that aims to honor our friend and brother Andrew Curry Green as well as raise funds for scholarships and other charitable programs. Held annually on Northwood Lake in Northwood, NH, dozens of swimmers swim the three mile long lake in honor and remembrance of our brother Andrew, who was tragically killed on September 11th, 2001. Starting at the far end of the lake, they swim home to Wah-Tut-Ca Scout Reservation, where Andrew served as a staff member and a camp leader for many years. Andrew’s legacy lives on through the Lake Swim as we remember his passion for the outdoors and his willingness to cheerfully serve.
In its thirteenth year, we have added a FUN RUN so even more people can participate in the day's activities. The course will be equivalent to a 5K (3.1 miles), which you can run or walk, so bring the whole family! Please consider making a donation, no matter how small, to one of the teams or participants listed below. Your donation will directly support the programs and projects of The Key Foundation. You can learn more about all of those programs and projects here.
Each team is comprised of a swimmer, a spotter, a runner, and a coach. If you’re interested in participating in the swim as part of a team, please sign up here.
And if you’d like to join us on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Wah-Tut-Ca Scout Reservation to support the swimmers, runners, and spotters and enjoy some delicious food and music at our family BBQ, you can purchase tickets for yourself and your whole family here.
