The Story

EVENT DATE: Jun 03, 2017

DEADLINE TO GIVE: Jun 02, 2017

YO!!

ADRIAN!!!

Join us for a group bicycle ride inspired by Rocky’s (really implausible) training run, while raising funds for 2 great Philly non-profits:

·         The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia

·         Center City Residents' Association

When?

Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at 10:00am – rain or shine!

(You think Rocky would skip training because of some rain?!?)

Where?

Meet at Stephen Girard Park, 21st & Shunk St

If you don't wish to bike to the starting point consider using SEPTA. Both you and your bike can hop a ride to the start via Routes 7, 17 and G. They drop you a block from Stephen Girard Park. Or for a longer warm-up, hop the Broad Street Line to Oregon (.8 miles from the start).

What do I do?

We are asking you to register for $35.

What do I get?

1)    An awesome ride!

2)    An after-party - with drink specials!* - at Urban Saloon!

What about the ride?

This will be a group bicycle ride without a police escort (we’re not racing, just rolling). This ride covers approximately 15 miles through South Philly, Center City, the Art Museum Neighborhood, East Fairmount Park, and along the Schuylkill River before finishing at the Art Museum steps for a group photo in front of the famous (drumroll) Rocky Statue!

* Urban Saloon - 2120 Fairmount Ave - is offering our valiant riders $4 domestic beers, $5 glasses of house wine & champagne, and $6 well drinks.

If you’re too tired to bike home, the Broad Street Line is a short ride from the Urban Saloon or you can hop Routes 7 or 48 which stop nearby.

This event is not sponsored by or endorsed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc.
