The Story

EVENT DATE: Jul 23, 2017

DEADLINE TO GIVE: Jul 30, 2017

The Bonnell Foundation: Living with cystic fibrosis helps family's in Michigan and across the Country with Cystic Fibrosis. We're the Roadmap to CF. We help family's navigate life with CF.

Laura Bonnell is a news reporter at WWJ and has two college age daughters with cystic fibrosis.

Our event is Sunday, July 23rd. The Media and Law Enforcement teams are playing 7 innings of softball against one another. Help us to avoid charging people at the gate and please donate to either team on line. We're trying to raise $10,000.  Donate to a player or team.  Thanks!

Bonnell started her Foundation in 2010 to help other families deal with the emotional and financial challenges of cystic fibrosis. Since then some great people have joined the Board: Lori Tournay Liggett, Scott Carmona, Tom Armstrong, Patty Jaeger, Melissa Wilson and Margaret Wild, Chair of financial assistance.

The Bonnell Foundation: Living with cystic fibrosis has donated $30,000 over the years to the CF Foundation for research. The Bonnell Foundation donates $25,000 to $30,000 each year in college scholarships. We offer lung transplant grants and financial assistance for medical needs. We help military family's who have a spouse or child with CF.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that causes chronic and fatal lung infections and interferes with digestion. At this time the average life expectancy is 41 years old. There is no cure.  Medications are keeping people with CF alive longer; they are now living into adulthood.

Be part of our team!  Please donate.  Thank you.
