For 28 years of my life I have been fighting an insidious disease known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. By the age of 12, I went into to my first mobilized wheelchair and at 15 had full spinal rod surgery to correct a 107 degree curvature of my spine. Having no physical abilities but the use of my thumb, I managed to accomplish a Cum Laude Business Marketing Degree In 2005. As you can see through determination I've managed to overcome the life expectancy of my illness on my own with the help of my family. However, I no longer can fight this dreaded disease by myself anymore.
Lifes curve came in 2007, and am now permanently on a vent with trach and feeding tube. My latest challenge this past February, has been the result of a heart issue that required the need for a pacemaker. With all this said I realize how fragile my life is and I'd like to fulfillI some dreams before it is too late. I wake up every say determined to rise up every day to meet my daily challenges as a gift God blessed me with so I can treasure every passing day with whatever He has in store for me.
For me to have my dreams become a reality, I need your assistance in helping pay for my ongoing health issues that have become way too expensive. I feel that now is the time for me to make memories with my family and friends by taking a trip up and down the East Coast enjoying the world around me before I call Heaven my home. Thanks to who may be reading this and thank you even more for any and all financial contributions to my cause.
