Jaime and I are preparing to run a Half Ironman in Benton Harbor, MI on August 9th to benefit One Team One Fight. This will be our first full triathalon back in the race scene since Jaime found out she was pregnant with our daughter Belle. At that time, we were just getting into adventure racing and we were bullet proof. Belle is now 9 (a pre-tween I'm told) so clearly a lot has changed. In any event, we're going all in with the Steelhead Half Ironman - a 1.2 mi swim, a 56 mi bike, and a 13.1 mi run. Jaime is still figuring out how to survive the swim and I look ridiculous on a bike, but it will all be for a good cause in the end.
The funds raised through One Team One Fight races, events, and workouts benefit two amazing organizations—The Travis Manion Foundation and the Navy SEAL Foundation. Both of these nationally-acclaimed non-profit organizations benefit and support current members of our nation’s armed forces, veterans, and their families.
We hope to raise $1000 to support these 2 organizations and honor the memory of those who sacrificed everything for us and for each other. Please take the time to read the descriptions below for each organization and help us help those who are left behind. We appreciate your time and support in this endeavor!

The Travis Manion Foundation
Shortly after the death of 1st Lt. Travis Manion in Iraq on April 29, 2007, the fallen Marine’s mother, the late Janet Manion, founded the Travis Manion Foundation to assist our nation’s veterans and families of the fallen. TMF engages with veterans and families of the fallen in all stages of their personal journeys and offers them unique opportunities to empower them to achieve their goals. TMF believes that the best way to honor the fallen is by challenging the living. TMF challenges veterans and families to lead the “If Not Me, Then Who…” movement and inspire others to continue the service to community and country exemplified by the nation’s fallen heroes.
The Navy SEAL Foundation
The Navy SEAL Foundation stands behind all U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare support personnel, and their spouses, and children. The Foundation coordinates closely with NSW commands to support critical needs of active-duty operators while also providing resources for NSW veterans. Their work is focused on five key areas that assist veterans of NSW, active-duty service members and their families: Educational Opportunities, Warrior Support and Family Services, Legacy Preservation, Tragedy Assistance, and Survivor Support.
