Dear Friends and Family,
I am so excited to run my second half-marathon and be a member of the Cancer Research Institute team! My sister Denise has worked with this amazing organization for the past 2 and 1/2 years, and through her I have learned so much about the field of cancer immunology. Additionally, I decided to run in honor of my grandfather who passed away from prostate cancer, and my grandmother who recently lost her battle with endocrine cancer. As a member of the CRI team, I committed to raising at least $1000 to help the fight against cancer, and to benefit cancer immunology research. Join me and this wonderful organization in moving one step closer to finding a cure. For more information about the work of CRI read below. Thank you for all your love and support!
The Cancer Research Institute is the world’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to advancing the science of cancer immunology with the goal of developing new ways to harness the immune system to prevent, treat, and—one day—cure cancer. Because of the pioneering research we have funded for 60 years, cancer immunotherapy today is no longer a dream held by a determined few. New treatments based on decades of discovery are extending and saving the lives of some patients with some types of cancer. Join Team CRI and help us make this a reality for all patients, with all types of cancer, sooner.
