As Chicago Wilderness celebrates 20 years of working together for nearby nature, we are pleased to champion 12 priority species across the region. These animal species and their habitats need you. While these critters may be small in size, they are massive in importance. From the red-headed woodpecker to the little brown bat, these animals and the lands they inhabit - our ecosystems - help keep our water clean and our air safe to breathe. Chicago Wilderness members from across the region are actively working to improve their habitat and learning how best to help these species. Your donation joins you with our cause - one region. one vision. one voice. - and makes possible these vital efforts to protect these species and our one home.
All donations will be allocated evenly across the 12 priority species.
Chicago Wilderness is a regional alliance leading strategy to preserve, improve, and expand nature and quality of life. By connecting leaders in conservation, health, business, science, and beyond, we tackle challenging issues to ensure a resilient region. Building on a 20-year legacy of collaboration, our broad alliance of member organizations advance work in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan. We target six Focus Areas for measurable results: priority species, oak ecosystems, water as a resource, beyond the choir, landowners, and data & member tools.
