BENEFITING: PANACEA ANIMAL WELLNESS SANCTUARY INC
EVENT: Spay Pride 5K Walk/Run 2017
EVENT DATE: Feb 18, 2017
Spaying and neutering our pets saves lives through reducing the number of unwanted pets that end up in our shelters, which causes overcrowding and results in unnecessary euthanasia of these orphaned, shelter animals.
The day will be filled with live demonstrations, fun for all family members, cool raffle prizes, food and beverages to keep us going, the Spay Pride village of vendors who share a passion for pets (including the Arizona Defense League of Arizona to provide spay/neuter certificates) and generally lots of fun for all!
Since Panacea was founded by a veterinarian whose team of volunteers (along with herself) donate their time, love and expertise, all monies raised go directly to paying for medicine and supplies (not overhead). Panacea’s rescue pets are rehabilitated in loving foster homes rather than cold shelter kennels. This year, we have partnered with Companion Animal Rehabilitation Emergency Medical Fund (C.A.R.E. Medical Fund) which organization takes on severe medical cases of animals given shelter through Apache Junction Care and Control. This little shelter is the red-headed step child who gets very little support. Therefore half of the net proceeds raised this year will be directed to CARE Medical Fund in hopes that the lives of more medically challenged shelter animals can be saved from euthanasia.
Please help us make a difference by registering or donating for this very special event. Don't worry if you or your furry friend aren't able to participate in the walk/run, come out and join us to cheer on participants and shop with the vendors that will be supporting the event.
