We are trying to reach out to BAC members from the last 10 years, people who were so privileged to march in some of the best years of the corps, when we first made finals, when we kicked ass in 2000, and when we entered the era when we EXPECTED to be in finals (the act like you've been there years). Obviously some years were tougher than others for lots of different reasons. But at the end of the day, you had an unforgettable experience, made a ton of friends, and at least got a great tan!
I’m sure you all know but the tour fees don’t even begin to cover the costs of the corps. Everything we had when we marched was due to the generosity and involvement of great alumni. And now that’s exactly what you are - Alumni! I can tell you that without a doubt, things with the corps are stronger than ever. The members are having an amazing experience, perform on the best equipment and honor the traditions of the BAC. If you haven’t seen a show in a while, I hope you will have a chance to check one out this year. Especially if you live in Florida - come to the May Preview! If you live in Boston, come to the Spring Fling and the East Coast Classic!
Any of course, there is one other thing - I am asking for your help in ensuring the corps legacy for the next 75 years. In that vein I have formed a team to raise donations from recent alumni and we are hoping to raise $10,000. I know it’s a lot but all we need are a bunch of small donations from people who have marched in the last 10 years.
Will you help us reach out goal?? We aren’t asking for much, in fact all we are asking for is $25. If you can afford more, that’s awesome, please go for it! But if you have never been able to donate, now is the time! You all know that the success and longevity of the corps has always been possible because of alumni. BAC was a huge part of our lives and now it is time to give back.
So please consider donating and giving back to the corps. Your tax deductible donation makes a big difference.
P.S. - I will be traveling to Allentown and Finals and I hope to see many of you there or at an event like the spring fling.
