THE STORY:

Help me and my boys celebrate my 41st birthday with a short swim in Lake Anne on February 2. We're raising money for Camp Sunshine.

For $2,000 we can give the gift of a lifetime for a child suffering with a life threatening illness and their entire family. The weeklong respite includes all meals and accommodations, a host of recreational opportunities, psychosocial workshops for the adults and the peace of mind of a 24-hour onsite physician.

This will be my 4th Polar Dip. Every year, I think of the letters from campers whose stories of joy and just "feeling normal" for a week are so heartwarming that I barely feel the 40 degree water. (Last year Henry and Gabe definitely felt the water. Here's the video.)

$2000 is our highest goal yet, but just $20 from 100 people could make a huge difference in the lives of one stressed out family next summer. Hope you can help.
