The Story

EVENT DATE: May 06, 2017

Trek 4 Trykes is a fundraiser to provide Amtryke therapeutic tricycles to people with disabilities right here in the Stillwater area. Click the gray Join the Event button to make a difference today!

What is a Trek, you say? You can Trek it your way: Walk, Run or Pedal! Our (roughly) 5k route will follow the lovely Boomer Lake.

New this year: Play in the AMBUCS Ace Race Disc Golf Tournament, instead. Full Details.

Registration for the 5k and Disc Golf is at 8:30 that morning and the both events will begin immediatly following the Amtryke giveaway at 9:00 am. (You won't want to miss it!)

Registration for either event is only $20 but we encourage every participant to raise $100 or more in pledges or donations from friends, family and community connections - to get more riders rolling.

Every registered Trekker and day-of-event volunteer will receive an awesome event t-shirt and goodie bag. Disc Golfers will recieved a Dynamic Discs tournament stamped disc. Day-of-event registration is available, but those who register after April 1 cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt or Disc.

Cowboy Country is a chapter of AMBUCS, a nationwide 501c3 charity dedicated to Creating Mobility & Independence for People with Disabilities. Cowboy Country AMBUCS is hosting the events. ALL donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Right now we have ten children with disabilities in the Payne county area waiting for funding for the fun and freedom of their very own Amtryke. Parents, recipients and therapists have noted that the Amtryke not only provides improved strength, tone and coordination but also confidence and positive peer interaction.

Learn more by visiting www.Trek4Trykes.org and then come join in the fun! You'll find directions for setting up your crowdrise fundraising page there too.
