BENEFITING: Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
ORGANIZER: Crohn's Colitis Foundation
EVENT: Pittsburgh Marathon 2016
EVENT DATE: May 01, 2016
I am so excited to be completing my third half marathon for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). I first learned about Crohn's disease ten years ago when my brother was diagnosed. Every year since then I've met more and more people with Crohn's disease. And that number has only gone up since I was diagnosed with Crohn's four years ago and started volunteering with CCFA. This disease can be debilitating, humiliating, and just plain scary. I am running for the long list of people I know with this disease. Here are the names of a few I am closest to:
Please help us find a cure for them, for me, and for everyone else who lives with it.
Crohn's Colitis Foundation of America wrote -
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Over 1.4 million Americans are directly impacted by these debilitating diseases. CCFA exists to fund cutting edge research, provide support services and to overall improve the quality of life of those living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
The dollars you raise as a CCFA Team Challenge participant through the Pittsburgh Marathon go directly to the local chapter and help CCFA with its mission. We encourage you to learn more, fundraise and join us!
