Because I identify with Syrian citizens whose lives till recently closely paralleled mine. City life, dreams, hopes and expectations. Now, 5 years later, home became a refugee camp, school made place for survival, dreams for tons of uncertainties.
Syria Relief & Development is a neutral humanitarian organization operative in and outside of Syria. They provide aid, aiming to fulfill elementary needs with care packages and hospital and medical centres, but also provide psychosocial support to children and adults - a critical component when you're dealing with the brutalities of the war.
With regard to a good amount of donation to give, I can give you a couple of examples of what various donation amounts can provide. The costs can change periodically, but this is a good estimate of what can be provided. And of course, any donation of any amount makes a difference!!
