It’s my birthday! As many of you know, I’ve become a passionate climate justice advocate, and I’ve been working for the past year with an organization called Our Children’s Trust (OCT) on climate change litigation on behalf of youth. OCT is spearheading a worldwide legal campaign, called Atmospheric Trust Litigation (ATL), to force the carbon reduction necessary to restore climate equilibrium on the planet.
So far I’ve volunteered around 1,600 hours for OCT (while earning my law degree). And for my birthday, I’m asking you to donate to the cause as well! Most of the attorneys, experts, and OCT staff are working pro-bono or for next to nothing (and doing the work of an army), but the unavoidable costs of litigation remain high. Can you pitch in $31 (for my 31st birthday) or more if you can to help this effort succeed? Your support would be an amazing birthday present! THANK YOU!!!
Meet Nelson from Alaska, one of the ATL youth plaintiffs, who is featured in the award-winning mini-documentary TRUST: Alaska to the left of this page. (To see the rest of the films go to http://ourchildrenstrust.org/trust-films).
