BENEFITING: Epilepsy Foundation of Metropolitan New York
EVENT DATE: Sep 24, 2017
In February 2007 I had my first epileptic seizure. It occured several months before my elementary school graduation. I spent several months in and out of hospitals, and doctors offices, running tests trying to find out what happened and why it happened. In April, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. In June, I graduated.
I didnt know what the future held for me, but I vowed I wouldnt let a seizure stop me from living my life. It is now 10 years later and I will be graduating college, taking the LSAT's, and I will at some point go to law school.
I am walking this year because the girl 10 years ago never would've expected any of this with the obstacle she was faced with, and to this day I won't let a seizure stop me from reaching my goals. I am walking to raise awareness and money for those with epilepsy and to help others seize the day.
