Emerald Coast Gives Back 2017
EVENT DATE: Nov 28, 2017
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Dec 31, 2017
FUNDRAISER SET UP DEADLINE: Dec 31, 2017
Last year, nonprofits and businesses from Okaloosa, Walton, and Santa Rosa counties joined forces and created the area's first #GivingTuesday campaign called #EmeraldCoastGivesBack and quietly raised over $12K for local nonprofit organizations along Florida's Emerald Coast to help those most in need. This year, based on nonprofits' goals listed here, the #EmeraldCoastGivesBack goal has been set at $100,000.
You Make It Possible
One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community. Many local nonprofits and businesses are participating in #EmeraldCoastGivesBack and are planning volunteer days, appreciation days, give back days, and fundraising events on November 28, 2017, #GivingTuesday.
The easiest way you can help your community is to give a donation.
Please click the DONATE button today and select the charity or campaign closest to your heart. Thank you.
#EmeraldCoastGivesBack is a local #GivingTuesday movement with the purpose of increasing public awareness of the impact local nonprofits make in addressing our community's social challenges; bring nonprofits, donors and volunteers together; expand the idea of online giving and use social media to promote giving back; connect people to the causes that mean the most to them; and, of course, make giving back fun.
Thanksgiving. Black Friday. Small Business Saturday. Cyber Monday. We have a day to give thanks, days to get deals, and now we have a day to give back, Giving Tuesday. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
