BENEFITING: Epilepsy Foundation-Quad Cities
ORGANIZER: Epilepsy Foundation-Quad Cities
EVENT: Quad Cities Marathon 2016
Our son Connor began having seizures the morning after he was born. He was diagnosed with epilepsy shortly after. For him, epilepsy is part of his life. Through the epilepsy foundation, Connor has been able to go to summer camp....something we never thought possible! He loves his week at Campossible! He has a week with kids who are just like him...and he gets to be away from home and be a kid. For Jason and I, we have had a support system of people who know what epilepsy is like. Connor and I will be participating in this years Quad City Marathon as two of the relay runners. Please see our goal for the race. Connor and I would like to raise a minimum of $400 for the foundation.

1 in 26 people will have epilepsy at some point in their lifetime. The Epilepsy Foundation-Quad Cities has created the "1 in 26" Relay for the Quad Cities Marathon to raise awareness and support all those who live with this challenging disorder.
Each of the 26.2 miles of the marathon represents a different person with epilepsy. That designated mile is run by the individual with epilepsy and/or their caring family, friends, or co-workers. One mile is run by the Epilepsy Foundation itself and is dedicated to all those with epilepsy in our region.
Please support our mission to improve the lives of persons with epilepsy, educate, advocate and spread awareness.
This is one marathon that we can finish together!
