BENEFITING: NYU Langone Medical Center
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2014
On November 2, 2014, I will have the privilege, honor, and formidable task of running 26.2 miles to raise awareness and money for FACES, Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures, at NYU Medical Center.
FACES has been an incredibly important organization to our family. At just 3.5 months old, Elliot was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a rare disease which also often has Epilepsy as a component of said disease. We have continually struggled to gain control of the seizures. In 2013, Elliot underwent several brain surgeries under the guidance of the comprehensive Epilepsy team in place at NYU.
I hope that my 26.2 miles will help to raise awareness about epilepsy and funds for an organization that has not only guided and supported our family through these difficult years, but also works towards finding a cure.
