It is with great pride and much appreciation that the Front Street Animal Shelter celebrates another successful year saving the lives of homeless animals. Our mission is simple: We save lives! During 2013, more than 6,000 animals were saved here at Front Street.
None of this success would have been possible without the compassion and generosity of concerned community members. Because of you, we are able to provide many programs and community services that are vital in so many areas. These include education and community outreach, medical services for sick or injured animals, humane investigation, safe shelter for homeless pets, and - most importantly - adoption programs to ensure that every companion animal lives in a safe, loving, and secure home.
Every year we aim high, with your generous help, to enhance all areas of our service to the Sacramento community. Some of the important community programs that are affected by your support are:
Animals in Need, a Front Street program that saves lives by providing advanced veterinary care to sick or injured stray animals that come to the shelter
Spay Neuter Sacramento, a program designed to help low income residents of the City of Sacramento to spay and neuter their pets at little to no cost in order to prevent unwanted litters
Vaccination Clinic, which provides low cost vaccinations to low income residents to improve pet health
Titanic’s Pantry, a free pet food bank for those who are experiencing difficulty feeding their pets during these hard economic times
Foster Care Program, saving animals with medical or behavioral issues that would otherwise be euthanized
