UN ASSN OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL AREA wrote -
Global Classrooms DC works to provide relevant, quality global education through Model United Nations (Model UN) to DC Metropolitan Area youth. Our progam offers an academically rigorous curriculum that is designed to build students' 21st century learning skills.
On May 1st, over 600 local students will convene at the US Department of State and Pan American Health Organization to tackle global issues such as metals & mining, child soldiers, human rights of migrant workers, and the situation in Colombia. They will discuss, debate, draft working papers, and pass resolutions in Model UN commitee sessions.
Help us raise $5,000 to cover conference costs. Your support will allow us to continue to provide youth with FREE hands-on opportunities to gain critical 21st skills around global engagement and advocacy.
$55 covers all costs for one student to engage in international issues and build skills that will be relevant in college and their future career path. Help us nurture the next generation of global leaders!
*Donations over $50 will be entered into a drawing for a dinner for 2 (value $50) at Lebanese Taverna. Three locations (and three gift certificates) are available! Once you donate $50 or more, please email your contact information (name, email, phone, and address) and location preference (Washington DC, Pentagon City, or Bethesda) to email@example.com.
Thank you for your support!
