There are children that need our help.
"Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories, on average, every 38 minutes. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer."
They need "game-changers"? Who better than gamers to help them?!
We have set a goal of $5,000 to help make dreams come true for these children. We humbly request your help meeting that goal.
We look forward to working with you on this wonderful project!
It's that time of year when we think about helping people other than ourselves. Specifically, we want to help those that cannot help themselves. This brought Make-A-Wish onto our radar. We did our research and found that Make-A-Wish International is a solid charity with a long history of doing good.
What can you do to help?
There are plenty of things!
1) Donate money! (duh!)
2) Spread the word. Talk to people about what Make-A-Wish and/or gaming means to you. We've all been touched in some way by one -- or both -- of these things. Use that experience to help someone else!
3) Create content. We've got so many talented artists, musicians, streamers, etc. in our little community. Let's use that talent to generate a positive change in the world!
4) Volunteer outside of Gamer Giving. It's great that things like this can bring us together as a community of gamers but we're more than that: We're individuals in our own communities as well! There are things we can do locally that can have just as much of an impact as our work online! Go to http://wish.org/ways-to-help to find the way that works best for you!
