The National Dream Team is a selection of GOALS‘ brightest young leaders in Haiti. GOALS uses soccer to engage kids in community work that improves their quality of life, the environment, and local leadership. The Dream Team Scholarship fund will be used to fund the secondary education of GOALS members secondary level education.
These players receive eligibility for scholarships based on their need, commitment to community service, and consistent academic excellence.
A secondary education in Haiti costs about $300 per child. Many families of GOALS' participants cannot afford to send their children to school. This sad fact means that many very intelligent, civic-minded individuals have their academic prospects cut short at an early age. By providing for the education of these children, GOALS will help foster a new generation of young leaders devoted to the development of their communities and their country.
