THE STORY:

The Great March appears to be the most prominent nonviolent action happening in the critical window of time left to reorient our society, reaching deep into the public consciousness and illustrating the need for a different magnitude of action than has been considered politically/publicly so far, for this country.

The climate is a system that is multivariable and non-linear. There is a point-of noreturn that is either fast approaching, or already upon us, after which the climate will rapidly destabilize beyond the range of any human experience. A major moment of planetary history is here, and we are at the final moment to shape what happens. The next three years are critical. Most of the people in our country do not understand the atmospheric carbon budget, the way that budget will be used, and what countries like the U.S. must do if we (globally) want to stand a chance of stabilizing the climate at internationally agreed-upon norms. Being in possession of this information places an imperative upon those of us who know what is happening to share this information as widely as possible.
