The CrowdRise Holiday Charity Challenge is an annual fundraising competition that runs from November 22nd at 12pm ET through January 5th at 1:59:59pm ET and includes a massive push on #GivingTuesday. Last year's Challenge raised over $6 million for over 1,200 incredible causes and this year, we're going even bigger.
On #GivingTuesday, November 29th, Challenge participants will rally their supporters to raise crazy amounts of money for their causes. Each donation is a brick in a virtual tower and collectively, we'll build the world's largest building...The CrowdRise Giving Tower. Users can experience the Giving Tower by downloading a free app that'll take them into an immersive virtual reality city filled with iconic buildings and the Giving Tower is the centerpiece. What's even more incredible is that the organization that raises the most online on #GivingTuesday will receive a $25,000 donation to their cause. It's going to be the most amazing experience ever.
Once #GivingTuesday is over, participating organizations will continue to rally their supporters to raise as much money as possible for their cause through January 5th, 2017. Every charity keeps the money they raise and the top five charities who raise the most online throughout the entire Challenge timeframe will win large cash donations ranging from $5,000 to $100,000.

3rd place gets $25,000
4th place gets $10,000
5th place gets $5,000
That's a total of $250,000 being given away throughout the Challenge. In addition to the grand prizes, another $60,000 will be given away through weekly Bonus Challenges, including the $25,000 #GivingTuesday prize. The prizes are made possible by donations from CrowdRise, the Craig Newmark Foundation and The Charity Network.
