Did you know that March is "Beyond Yourself" month at Haas? Local HAN chapters around the country are participating in fundraising & community service events throughout the month, and your Portland chapter is excited to be challenging the status quo with a March Crowdfunding event! Our goal is to raise $1,000 for each charity. Please consider giving to one or all THREE local worthy causes:
Meals on Wheels People's mission is to enrich the lives of seniors and assist them in maintaining independence by making nutritious food, social contacts and other resources accessible. Founded in 1970 and based in Portland Oregon.
Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) empowers lives by creating exceptional partnerships between skilled mobility dogs and people who are blind or visually impaired. Funded entirely through private donations, GDB offers its services free of charge to students throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Friends of the Children provides Portland’s most vulnerable children with intensive and long-term mentors. They take a preventive, early intervention approach that breaks the cycle of poverty and abuse by helping children in need overcome the many obstacles in their lives. Founded in 1993 and based in Portland, Oregon, Friends now has sites in New York, Boston, Seattle, and Klamath Falls, OR.
Each charity is set up as a team - support one or all three teams and help Haas go Beyond Yourself!
SAVE THE DATE: We'll celebrate our collective giving with a networking event and mingling with the leaders of these fine charities on April 3, 2014. More details soon.
