EVENT: 2017 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 17, 2017
DAY TO GO
My name is Avi Saraf, and I'm running the Boston Marathon in Spring 2017. To do this, I need your help! I'm raising money for PBHA SUP, a major summer program for underprivileged kids in the Boston area, and I want to raise 2620 (100 dollars per mile I run) for this worthwhile cause.
A little about me: I'm a senior at Harvard, and I've been running ever since I was a kid. From freeze tag during recess to middle and high school track, I've always aimed to run fast. In college, I overcame my fear of long distances and have now run two half marathons. I can't think of a better way to close out my time in college than raising money for SUP running my longest distance yet.
To show my appreciation, I'll be using my own special way of saying thank you. Based on how much you donate, here's what I'll do for you:
$10 - A sincere thank you.
$15 - A fervent thank you.
$20 - A fervent thank you from the bottom of my heart.
$25 - A thank you card (please supply me an address!)
$50 - I'll name one of my routes after you and think of you every time I use it to train, along with a thank you card!
$100 - I'll dedicate one of the miles along the race to you on social media. To sweeten the deal, you get to decide which mile!
$200 - I will tattoo your name or an image of your choice (temporarily) during the race so everyone watching knows just how amazing a person you are.
$300 - I will do all of the above and Facetime you during the race.
$500 - Upon finishing the race, I will personally go to where you are (<=5 miles from finish) and thank you.
If you have any other ideas, reach out to me and I'm sure we can work something out. Thanks for considering me!
