Thanks to the Harvard College Marathon Challenge, I'm so excited to be running the Boston Marathon this upcoming spring! I picked up distance running in college as a fun and cheap way to go on outdoorsy adventures, and in a very immoderate fashion I’ve found myself addicted. The good news for this marathon, however, is that it won't be solely for the endorphins and cool sights. I’ll be running to raise $2620 for the Phillip Brooks House Association’s Summer Urban Program (SUP), a summer camp led by college students for kids in Greater Boston whose families wouldn’t be able to afford fun and educational activities otherwise. I’m running to send these kids on adventures—I’m running for their backpacks, for pizzas and Capri Suns, for colored pencils, and for those trips to learn about elephants at the zoo. And I’d love if you could be a part of that adventure too.
Any amount donated will help a kid out, so even if you only have a few dollars to spare, it would mean so much. If that’s not financially feasible, any encouragement and prayers would be appreciated as well. Thank you :)
