BENEFITING: Harvard College Marathon Challenge
ORGANIZER: Harvard College Marathon Challenge
EVENT: 2017 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 17, 2017
Hello family and friends!
I am thrilled to announce that I will be running the 121st Boston Marathon (my first marathon!) on April 17, 2017 to raise money for the Harvard Phillips Brooks House Association's Summer Urban Program. As a camp counselor I have seen how critical it is that all students are both having fun and receiving intellectual stimulation over the summer months. SUP provides this important service for an otherwise underserved population, giving low-income Boston area youth a fantastic summer camp experience and ensuring that they are maintaining their classroom skills between school years. I am extremely proud to run for such an incredible cause and I would be so grateful if you would consider making a donation, no matter how large or small. THANK YOU!!!!!
About SUP: PBHA's Summer Urban Program is an annual summer program with 10 camps that serves over 900 low-income students ages 5-19 in the Boston area by providing them with academic programs for seven weeks. Every $125 you donate will cover a student's fees for the entire summer.
About HCMC: Harvard College Marathon Challenge (HCMC) is an organized group of Harvard students, employees, and alums that raises money, through running, to benefit the health, education, and welfare of Boston-area youth and families. Since its inception in 2005-06, HCMC runners have raised over $620,000 for causes such as PBHA SUP.
