BENEFITING: Horizons For Homeless Children
EVENT DATE: May 28, 2015
Suggested minimum donation $50 online at https://www.crowdrise.com/helphorizon4homelesschildren or at the door
Join the Robin Hood crew on Thursday May 28th from 6 to 9 pm at Alibi bar and lounge in the Liberty Hotel to support Horizons for Homeless Children’s food program. Come feast on a roast pig from Lincoln Tavern, a raw bar courtesy of Row 34, and “adult” pick-your-poison snow cones from the folks at Life is Good. Enjoy one too many and we will plunder and pillage your purses in our quest to raise $50K for Horizons for Homeless Children!
If tequila snow-cones aren’t your thing, a silent auction is sure to help you HELP US reach our goal!
Demonstrating the power of social media at its finest, one small tweet by Diane Hessan of the Startup Institute alerted us to the horrifying statistic that 1 in 30 children in Massachusetts experiences homelessness at some point. Within an hour we were in touch with Horizons for Homeless Children and ready to plan a party! Horizons provides certified early education and daycare centers for children living in their homeless shelters, allowing parents to continue working and children to continue to develop educationally and emotionally in spite of a tough living situation. This $50,000 will be put towards the daycare centers’ food program that provides healthy lunch and snacks to the children lucky enough to attend. Let’s join together and help these families keep their children on the right track!
