THE STORY:

Welcome to "Healing Sandy Hook's Loved Ones" fundraiser site. We are sisters in Arizona reaching out to help the victim's families. We are very fortunate to have our family and realize after a tragedy like this strikes that we take our loved ones for granted. Losing a sibling, mother, niece, nephew or child is unimaginable and the thought is very heart breaking.

We ask you to take a moment to make a donation to help these families heal. In fact, if this is a parent reading this, asking your child if they would like to make a donation. It may be a healing moment for them because they get to be part of giving back to a community in dire need.

All donations go to the Sandy Hook Elementary School PTSA.

Thank you for donating!

Dakotah and Sierrah, I'm proud to be your aunt!!! What a fantastic way to get involved in doing "something" to make the world a better place. Children helping children, brings a tear to my eye. I celebrate the lives of those who survived and experience deep sorrow for the lives lost - it just shouldn't be. . . it just shouldn't be. It's too bad society is faced with the evils of such horrendous violence with such unstable people, makes me think of other people like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, North Korea. . . I just hope people remember there is more good in the world than bad even though my list of people reports the opposite. Unfortunately, it takes just a few BAD people to wreak havoc in the world and the news media to cover it in such a descriptive and detailed repetitive way that it's hard to breath at times. We do need to remember the heroes of this story; there are many. I pay tribute to the dedication of the teachers and staff that stood in the line of danger to guard, protect, and even gave their lives for their students. They weren't just students to them, they were their children. To the families who lost a child, I will think of you often and send you my thoughts, prayers, and strength. Please remember it's ok to feel every emotion possible during this time; grief comes in all forms, shapes, stages, and with its own timeline. To the students who survived, I send you the biggest, warmest, cuddliest teddy bear hug you've ever had and send you lots and lots and lots of love. 3 years ago
