Since October 24, 2013, the American Red Cross Virginia Mountain Region has responded to over 200 house fires and provided immediate shelter, clothing, food and emotional support to over 1,050 individuals, in our communities, who have lost everything. Each year, the American Red Cross immediately responds to about 70,000 natural and man-made disasters across the U.S., ranging from house fires to hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents and explosions.
In order to help the American Red Cross Virginia Mountain Region and other chapters across the country prepare, respond and help people recover from disasters like house fires, we request your support. In times of need, the Red Cross is there, but we can’t do it without the commitment of generous donors like you. You can help people affected by disasters big and small by making a donation to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Please consider making a donation to Disaster Relief today.
