BENEFITING: Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona
74% of Americans personally know someone who is or has been abused, and 1 out of every 4 women has experienced domestic violence. So odds are you, the person reading this, know a woman who has been abused – physically, emotionally, financially, or verbally. Maybe she was your sister, your mom, a friend, an aunt, a coworker…maybe, even, it was you.
Whoever she may be, Sharon Manor believes every woman and child being abused should have a safe place to call home. Sharon Manor provides safe, affordable housing to women and children survivors of domestic violence. Beyond temporary, emergency shelter, Sharon Manor provides up to 2 years of comprehensive one-on-one case management, group trainings, and a children’s program for families as they work to rebuild their lives. Since opening, Sharon Manor has helped more than 1,140 women and children transition to self-reliance through their holistic program.
Sharon Manor also believes individuals and communities should STAND with survivors –supporting, encouraging, and empowering them on their journey towards healing.
This Domestic Violence Awareness month we ask you to stand with us. And, more importantly, to “stand with her” – whoever she may be in your life. Please stand with her by supporting community resources like the Sharon Manor Housing Program for homeless domestic violence victims and their children.
This October, Sharon Manor needs to raise $10,000 to continue providing safe and affordable housing to women and children survivors. Please "stand with her" today by making a donation, becoming a fundraiser for our campaign, and by sharing the word with people in your life.
Thank you for taking a stand.
