Serving Those Who Serve

The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University is a national nonprofit organization guiding our veterans, service members and military families as they transition from military to civilian life. Whether it's education, equipping them with information or new skills, or helping them to find new or improved employment in their civilian life, the IVMF supports those who have given so much.

The IVMF is a one-stop shop for military families with programs offered around the U.S.– in cities, on military installations, and universities - that guides them through options in higher education, career preparation or skills training. Whether it’s the dream of entrepreneurship or small business, earning a degree or additional professional certifications for in-demand careers — all programs are offered at NO COST and with NO NEED to use G.I. Bill benefits. The IVMF also helps military families navigate the challenging waters of care once they are out of the service and back in civilian life. AmericaServes is fundamentally changing the way military families are cared for in their communities bringing together organizations to provide help to families faster and more efficiently, easing that worry at least. We also conduct research on policies and practices – working to identify and resolve issues veterans face personally and professionally. We have already served over 73,000 individuals since our inception in 2011. This is only possible with help from supporters like you. Help us give back to those who have given us so much.  We have a responsibility to help welcome the military community back. Help us change the lives of our nation’s military community by giving today.
