BENEFITING: Junior League Of Orange County California Inc
EVENT DATE: May 04, 2014
The Junior League of Orange County has been selected as a charity partner for the 2014 Orange County Marathon. The event will take place on May 4, 2014, offering the opportunity for runners to participate in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K. There is even a Kids Run the OC event to engage the youngest members of our community.
As a charity partner, the JLOCC has committed to fielding a team of at least 20 runners, providing a minimum of 40 volunteers for the event, and raising at least $10,000. These efforts benefit the JLOCC, and in turn, support our Mission to promote voluntarism by developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
With your support, we can continue to develop programs and provide funds and volunteers to our community partners, which presently include The Academy of Orangewood Children's Foundation, Crittenton Services for Children and Families, Orangewood Children's Home, The Raise Foundation, Human Trafficking Education and Awareness, Blind Children's Learning Center, and the Down Syndrome Foundation of Orange County. The JLOCC also awards thousands in scholarships to deserving community organizations and students. Reaching our goal of $10,000 will help 5 students move one step closer towards a new future.
We appreciate your help and support in improving the community. You are helping us empower the future leaders because of your commitment.
